Creating a New Account

After installation of fresh copy of Windows 8 Operating system, when you start-up Windows 8 for the first time, you will be asked to create a new user account in the OS. If you already have registered a Microsoft account, then you just have to enter its address and password, and all of your data will be synchronized within a few seconds. But, if you don't have a Microsoft account, or if your just want a standard user account which is not synchronized or linked to a Microsoft account, then you can simply choose that option. Password-Protect the Account

There are a several offers that Windows 8 offers to password-protect your user account in the OS. These features or options include the ability to sign-in with a picture password.
To modify an existing password, go to the Users tab of the Settings screen and click on "Change your password", and then enter the new password you want to be applied on-to your user account.
In Microsoft Windows 8, you can also log-in using a 4-digit PIN number rather than using some long and complex passwords. To set-up log-in using a PIN number, go to the Settings menu and click "Create a PIN". Then you will be asked to enter your account's password - once you enter your password, then you can enter your desired four-digits code, and then type the code again to confirm it, and click Finish.

Since the Options menu in the Settings area of the Start Screen is more limited in the Microsoft Windows 8, so user accounts cannot be deleted from here. To delete a user account, you must have the administrator rights for it. Then you have to go to the Control panel section for deleting a user account. After reaching the Control Panel, click on the icon of an account (which you want to delete) and choose "Delete account" option. You will be prompted that you want to delete the files or documents associated with that account or not - notice that if you decide to keep those files and don't want to delete them, they will be stored in a folder on the Administrator's desktop. Once you've completed the settings for deleting the account, click on "Delete account" button and the account will be deleted.
